Farey Fraction Number Line (Split in Two)

This is an alternate version of a Farey Fraction Number Line applet with the number line split in half and wrapped around. This allows the applet to fit in a smaller screen, and it also highlights the symmetry of the number line. For the full number line see http://www.geogebratube.org/student/m12717.

The Farey Sequence includes all fractions in simplest form that are between 0 and 1 and less then maxdenom. There are many beautiful patterns in the sequence. The applet can be used for many purposes -- open ended number theory pattern activity, check on work with fractions, etc.

To see an applet that shows visual patterns in the Farey Sequences with denominators up to 75, go to http://www.geogebratube.org/material/show/id/12780.
