Visualise and Estimate the Volume of Revolution

This applet enables students to visualise and estimate the volume of revolution when a region under a function curve enclosed between two values of x is rotated about the x-axis completely.

The estimated volume of revolution is calculated by determining the sum of volumes of the cylinders generated when rectangles of equal width drawn under the function curve within the region are rotated completely about the x-xis.
